This study was carried out to investigate the state and challenges of the Equity Trading industry in East Africa and how Small and Medium Enterprises are performing in the Stock Market. The main objective was to find out to what extent the industry has applied technology and exactly which kind of technology would be needed to alleviate the hurdles in the industry.

As a result of the research, an application called "DataBot" was created.
DataBot is a machine learning-enabled data analytics service for equity trading applications. It is used to predict stock prices for Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in East Africa.
